What is the most important work for me to do on earth?

Om has your best interests at heart. Om watches over you as though you were the most fragile of babies that needs constant care. At the same time Om celebrates the strengths and talents Om has given you in full measure. They are God-given and meant to serve a purpose in the world.

Om wants a world full of shining beings who spread the truth about Om and themselves. Om wants you to walk in the sunlight happy with all that Om has given to you and to the rest of creation.

Om hides for a time. Om waits with great patience until the doors are flung open and the true view becomes apparent to all who take the trouble to look and see what is truly there—a world full of light and love and infinite potential, a world where people shed their skins and find a glowing star at their core, a star that emits love and can heal the world if the world agrees to let down its guard and let God’s light and love filter down into every being on earth.

The world sings of Om’s glory. The flowers bend toward it, happy to do Om’s bidding. Await the day with happy expectation when you too will take your place as Om’s willing, carefree servant and an example of what can be done if one glories in Om and says, “This is the truth of the world.”

We are radiant beings who throb with Om’s holy song, Om’s holy plan, Om’s wish for a world that knows its value and lives accordingly, god-filled and singing God’s praises for how it is made and for the work that waits to be done. And oh, how fulfilling and righteous that work is. Do it willingly, with a heart that swells with the wonder of who dwells within it and the love this mighty force contains.

How can I let go of my memories of past hurts?

Love Om. Trust Om. Revel in all that Om has given you. Om is all-encompassing, the center of the universe, the starting point for all that evolves. Om cannot be truly fathomed. Om is mysterious in the very best sense, a force that is so vast and benevolent, so tender and careful in all that it does, that it bears study for our entire lives. What could be a better subject for our hearts and minds, our diligence at unearthing the most worthy prize?

Put your mind on Om. Keep it there and follow its tracks as it flows through your body, healing your wounds and taking you to the stars and back.

There is nothing more worthy than the study of Om, more useful than chanting the holy syllable. The rest is secondary, if that. The primary force demands our attention if we are to reach our goal of knowing heaven on earth.

Om waits to be heard. Om moves with a grace that waits to be seen and enjoyed and prayed to and loved.

Om is the center of the universe, and it behooves us to keep Om at the center of our thoughts, to worship Om with every action and intention.

If we keep our thoughts on Om, our thoughts become holy. If we listen to Om, our ears become purified of the harmful and unpleasant things that we have heard in our lives. Om strengthens the heart as the heart mirrors its beat. Om refreshes the eyes that have grown tired and misty because of the pain they have seen.

Om is golden and glorious and must be imbibed with every breath we take and morsel we eat. Om is the truth, and we must work to remember that and make it the first thought in the morning and the last thought at night.

Love Om. Worship Om. Treasure Om. Thank it for all that it has given you. Thank it for the glorious reunion that will one day occur. Worship Om knowing that you are Om. And that Om courses through you and inhabits your cells.

Love Om as you would the precious child that you wanted but never had in this lifetime. Focus on Om in the way that you would have focused on your tiny daughter. Om is the love of your life. Treat it as such. And this love will light your way home to Om in its full magnificence.

Sometimes I feel that I missed out because I never married. Please help me with this.

Love Om as it loves you. Trust Om as it trusts you. Know that joy awaits you once you turn aside from those things that bring you low, your wishes and yearnings to have more than you do, to be more than you are. See the truth of all that you do have and truly are.

How can you want more than to be Om’s holy child and creation, Om’s hope for the future, the spokesperson of things holy and dear, the helpmate, the woman who struggles so that others can see themselves in her and learn from her trials and the wisdom that Om imparts so willingly, happy to have a woman who is devoted to taking dictation from the highest source imaginable, the one true lord and creator of all we hold dear?

How can you want more than to be Om’s protected child and loving servant and student of what the world offers us in such abundance: the wildlife, the flora, the heavens that are aglow with the myriad of suns that Om has placed in the sky? Om has created you and the biggest, brightest, most glorious star. Underneath at the core there is no difference between your light and its, your bliss and its, your power, your knowledge, your future. It is just a matter of time before you and the star and Om are united in a holy embrace of recognition and the infinite wisdom and grace that you and the star and Om, because all is Om, will bestow on the worlds to come and their holy god-made inhabitants.

Love everything you see as yourself, as a being that has taken one form or another until the time arrives for it to return to Om and be part of the power that creates and destroys, that puts us through terrible rigors and rewards us with the prize of new wisdom and sweet possibilities.

How can you quibble with what you have and who you are, and gaze at others with envy because they walk hand in hand while you walk alone and imagine them going home to a house that is fueled by love, when your situation is exactly the same? Your makeup cannot be improved upon. It is holy and glorious. God flows through your veins. God inhabits you through the breath and the light that is inside each atom that is you.

You too live in a house of love. Your own body is that dwelling place. You own body contains more love than you can begin to imagine. And yet do try to imagine it and to reach it each time you meditate.

God is reaching toward you at every moment. Om is singing sweet songs to you and stroking your brow and saying, “Don’t be afraid. Hand over your fears, and I will destroy them just as I destroyed so much darkness and pain in the past. I am expert at that. No one is better at that.”

Love Om. Trust Om. Open your eyes and your ears and your heart to Om. Give Om your sadness and your doubts, the fears that have kept you going for so long, that have stoked you to act in order to seemingly save yourself. The time has come to stop listening to old, dark instigating voices, troublesome, worrying voices, and to hear Om’s song instead. There is no more mighty or loving song to be heard. Let it ring inside you. Chant the holy syllable until it resounds inside you and you shine with Om’s holy light.

Questions 29-32

32

If Om wants to be found why does Om create a world where it is possible to live as though Om doesn’t exist?

Om creates a world where life apparently runs all on its own, where we humans set our own agendas and proceed as though we were in charge and the smartest expert around. Om gives us free rein. Om wants us to see where our desires take us. Om wants us to plot our own course and then see if this route is profitable in the largest sense. Does it lead to true and lasting happiness? Is it a deep and compassionate path? Or is it filled with a frenzy of activities that leave us no better off than we were when we started?

Om presents a host of goals. Some are worthy. Many are not. Om creates beings with love at their core and a hunger for love that takes them in all different directions, that makes us beggars who don’t realize that the prize, the true wealth, is buried inside us.

Om lets us tunnel about and search here and there until, exhausted and disappointed, we realize that we are up against a dead end and that the only hope and help and escape from what ails us is to roll up our sleeves and do the real work that takes us to our true glory, the Lord who dwells within us and inhabits the world.

Om may appear to be hard to see, hard to remember, easy to do without. And yet at a certain moment the truth of Om can no longer be denied. One becomes frantic to get at the truth and tear away the many veils that make the world seem different from what it truly is: a realm of love and light, a piece of handiwork devised by the holy Lord and made out of this Lord for the Lord’s lasting pleasure.

Don’t wait until desperation propels you to seek the truth. Find it now. Glory in it now. And you will discover a happiness and a fervor that makes all of your past wishes seem so trivial that you’ll wonder why you gave them any thought, let alone the yearning and hunger and hopes that you heaped upon those passing fancies.

Find your true worth now, and thank your creator with all your heart for placing you in a world that has so many layers and intricacies. Rejoice that Om has given you chance after chance and now speaks to you with such frankness and willingness.

Follow Om’s call. Sing it to others, and all will be well for you and for them and for all whom you touch as the word gets out about Om and Om’s powers of love and compassion. Sing to Om, and Om will join in and sing a song of healing and wonder.
