How can I go from living in the sad past

to living in Om’s glorious world of trust and tranquility?

Om creates endless worlds for people to inhabit. And people go on to create worlds of their own. Most of these man-made worlds are filled with dread and misconceptions. People look through a glass darkly and see distorted versions of themselves and of everything else. They feel hounded and wretched. Help appears to be scarce and fleeting. Hope arrives in fits and starts and disappears as quickly as it came. And yet we cling to these sorry places that we constructed out of fears and misguided advice.

The world of the past where we see ourselves as inferior to others and lacking in the vital things we want seems more cozy and safe than the world Om holds out to us and beckons us to enter with such a glad and generous heart.

How can we pack up our bags and move to the better world we see before us, the world which we know in our hearts is truer than the one we’re stuck in at present?

The trick is to move slowly and not chastise ourselves for the fears and habits which seem so intractable and deeply embedded in us. In truth, they are embedded. They’ve become a part of our everyday makeup and must be removed with great care and tenderness.

Om does just that as it sings its holy song in your ear and the notes vibrate throughout your entire body and lodge in your brain to replace the old malingering thoughts that have kept you imprisoned in fear and sorrow for such a long time. Om will not rest until you’ve made the transition from a sad soul into one that sings with joy and prances through a field of wonders that Om has devised especially for you.

Take heart. Change is coming. It is already here and just has to be recognized again and again until the old impressions are replaced by Om’s bright light and intentions that you bring joy to the world, that your laugh raises people’s spirits and your words do the same.

Om is on your case. Om is ever watchful and is both a builder and a demolition expert slowly and carefully tearing down the walls that do you no good and keep you from seeing the glorious sunrise and the radiant day.

Have no fear. Lay your fears aside along with your angst and impatience. Pick up a bouquet of flowers. Bring them to your nose. Smell their fragrance. Marvel at their beauty. And know that they and you and Om are one and the same. Remind yourself of that as you go about your day and do what has to be done. And say to yourself, sing it aloud if you can, “I and the flowers and the ocean and the clouds and Om’s great mellifluent heart are one and deserve the greatest love and respect, a worship that opens the heart and sweeps away all past impediments.”

Please help me lessen my fear and my loneliness.

Om is with you at every moment. Om is you. And Om is the creator of the universe, so there is no reason to feel alone or worried.

You have the most powerful ally imaginable, a being, a force, a vibration of love and divinity that stretches across the universe. Yet it also holds you close to its breast.

Om is love. You are surrounded by love, awash, submerged, and warmed by holy golden love. How can you falter for too long if you open your eyes and your ears and your prayers to your true situation? Loneliness is a misunderstanding of your true place in life. You are Om’s sweet child. You are always entwined with the love of your life. Love and life pulse through you in a holy embrace, a holy spiral of feeling and power and goodness and light.

Banish your fears and loneliness. Say to them, “I am learning the true story. I am becoming aware of my makeup and why I am here. I am learning to love in the way that I have always been loved since the time that Om first created me. I am clearing away my dark thoughts and misconceptions, a view of myself that kept me imprisoned in a chamber of dread and pain.

“I am throwing open the doors to my soul and allowing Om’s grace and love and light to cast out the darkness that was my seeming friend for so long. And now that the darkness is fading and joy is replacing my sorrow and memory is changing and correcting my early faulty impressions about life and my place in it, I am more open and ready to see Om in the glory of who Om truly is—my helpmate and lover, my friend who is never away from my side, never engaged in actions that take it away from me and leave me to struggle alone.

“I am never alone, if truth be told. And that truth is making its way to the forefront of my mind. It is clearing away the thicket, the bramble, the thorns that kept me away from the love and the light that we all crave so dearly and wish were the reality we dwelt in rather than the gray world we inhabit until Om’s call is so unmistakable and so compelling and so radiant and mellifluous that we must honor the call and run to it on legs that will soon be strengthened by Om’s holy grace.”

Rejoice at your true condition, your true lover, your father and mother and savior rolled into one.

We are all one. We are all Om, and that fact will become clearer to you the more you strain and work and pray to know the truth.

The truth applauds your efforts, eager for the day when it will fully make itself known.

Love Om. Worship Om. Listen until you can hear its mighty sound. And a world of bliss will be the holy result of your good efforts.
